From Broken to Undeniable: A Journey Rooted in Faith, Resilience, and Process

Josh Spradlin’s story is one of faith, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in the face of overwhelming challenges. In 2007, newly married to Myka, Josh launched his first business, Jericho, a residential construction company. Fueled by ambition and hope, they soon faced the crushing blow of the 2008 financial crisis. Left financially devastated, they relied on credit cards just to keep their projects afloat.

In a pivotal move, Josh and Myka pivoted Jericho into an insurance restoration business, partnering with mitigation contractors to handle rebuild services. Their first lead—a small toilet leak job in Nashville, TN—was humble, but it became the foundation of their comeback. Josh took the opportunity, completing the repairs and securing additional work by going above and beyond for the client – even putting a bed together for the owner.

Through relentless effort, faith, and learning from their mistakes, they grew Jericho into a company generating approximately $3 million in annual revenue with a team of approximately 30 employees and an 8,000 sq. ft. warehouse/office in Nashville, TN by 2011. Despite the success, Josh struggled with anxiety, alcoholism, and the weight of leadership. Recognizing the need for change, Josh and Myka sold Jericho in a 7-figure deal to a private equity group in 2012. They didn’t sell the entity itself but instead sold the goodwill, equipment, and name, retaining the EIN and renaming the company Alliance Consulting, LLC.

During this period, Josh also founded Alliance Building Group, LLC in 2010, focusing on commercial tenant renovations. Balancing two companies while battling personal challenges wasn’t easy, but Josh continued to push forward. In 2014, he sold Alliance Building Group for a six-figure deal, further streamlining his efforts.

A New Chapter

In 2014, while working full-time in the water and wastewater engineering industry, Josh began taking on small structural engineering projects under Alliance Consulting, LLC. What started as a side venture for fun soon grew into a steady book of business.

By 2022, the structural engineering work had reached a point where it could support Josh’s family of five. With the guidance of their business coach, Josh made the bold decision to leave his full-time job and focus entirely on growing Alliance Engineering & Consulting, LLC (formerly Alliance Consulting). Since then, the company has expanded into municipal projects, grown to over 30 employees, and now generates annual revenue exceeding $3 million.

Through all of this, Josh and Myka are proud parents to three children: David (born 2008), Carter (born 2010), and Andrew (born 2013). Their family’s journey through trials and triumphs has shaped Josh’s approach to life and leadership, inspiring his passion for helping others.

Undeniable Mentality: Leadership Through Faith and Process

Josh’s experiences with Jericho, Alliance, and personal growth have fueled his passion for coaching. Through Undeniable Mentality, Josh equips others to thrive in all areas of life—spiritually, mentally, physically, personally, and professionally.

At the core of Undeniable Mentality is a focus on healthy vigilance. This means maintaining awareness and preparedness in every area of life without succumbing to fear, stress, burnout or the opposite – sloth, which ironically presents itself with the same symptoms. Drawing on principles from scripture, such as Ephesians 6:10-18 (putting on the full armor of God) and Matthew 7:13-14 (walking the narrow path), Josh teaches clients to balance vigilance with grace, trust and faith.
